The Need?

The need for a ‘bespoke’ method of illumination of artwork and paintings is highlighted by the fact that so many famous and notable works of art are not, and have never been, illuminated because of the hazards associated with doing so.

After working in conjunction with the British Royal Collection over a period of years, strict criteria was met to enable their extensive collection of art and artefacts to be properly illuminated and displayed.

Our ‘unique’ lighting product development approach, customised to the specific subject to be illuminated, is now available to all who wish their works of art or artefacts to be displayed in all their glory.

Picture Lights

Each picture light is designed and manufactured to specifically illuminate designated paintings. Each light has certain characteristics that are inherent in our design and these include:

Light weight, and easily removable from the painting Free of damaging ultra violet emissions Cold to the touch, even after hours of illumination Light source to be hidden from view Create no glare on the surface of the painting Operate from low voltage Be maintenance free for approx ten years Have optional colour temperatures, simulating tungsten when required Be available in a full range of colours

Feature Lighting

Whether used to enhance associated art works or simply to highlight architectural features background or ceiling lighting can easily transform a room or area within a building by highlighting specific features and designs within a space.

The inclusion of colour change and dimmable systems enhance the aesthetics and ambience of rooms and galleries and offers the potential to vary the atmosphere within a space for different uses as well as complement and enhance specific paintings or works of art at their deserving best.
